The FW President is the de facto leader of all FW chapters, working closely with each chapter’s president. The holder of this position shall also be entitled to take decisions pertaining to club business and give his opinion/advice on various subjects to all local chapters. The FW President will act as the club’s figurehead. As such, the FW President will be the person who shall speak on behalf of the club, whether in Canada or abroad, and will usually be the spokesman when dealing with other motorcycle groups, military groups, police and/or media. The FW President may also be assisted in his duties by the FW VicePresident and/or Chapter Presidents and Vice-Presidents. Other appointed FW Founders may also be called upon to render assistance to the FW President in the performance of any club related functions.
Vice-President and Sergeant-at-Arms positions will initially be appointed at the club’s inception. Later on, when one of these positions is vacated, an election will be heldamidst the FW members in good standing to refill the empty position. when Freedom Warriors reach a certain amount of chapters these two Rank shall be created.
The President is the Chairman and also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the chapter.
The Vice-President is the second in command and assumes all the duties and responsibilities of the President in his absence.
The Sergeant-at-Arms’ duties are to defend and protect all club members and prospects and ensures that all the laws and rules of the club are upheld. A secondary duty of the FW Sergeant-at-Arms shall be to represent the FW Vice-President if this person cannot be present during meetings and/or functions.
The Road Captain is responsible for the planning of all club runs. He is the ranking officer when the FW President and FW Vice-President are not present and therefore leads the club formations on the rides. FW leadership has the right to rotate members to lead the formations.
The Secretary is responsible for keeping all of the club records, written reports and correspondence between outside organizations.
The Treasurer keeps and maintains all of the financial records of the club, collects the income from all club operations and is responsible for paying all of the bills.
The Enforcer ensures that the club’s laws and rules are followed by all members.
The Tail Gunner will run at the back of the formation when riding. This person is responsible for assisting a rider experiencing any roadside issue or assist in administering first aid. They are also responsible for communicating with the Road Captain while on the road. It should be noted that, for safety reasons, all three-wheeled motorcycles shall ride at the back of the formation. This rule is mandatory.
Members have earned their patch after leaving the military in good standing. They shall wear and/or have the right to wear Freedom Warriors club’s colours and attend club meetings and functions. AFFILIATED MEMBERSMembers who possess no military background and own a motorcycle will undergo a probationary period lasting between 2 to 3 months. During this period, they will be allowed to wear the Canada banner on the back of their vest as well as their name tag and “Affiliated” tag on the front of the vest. Upon completion of this probation period, a vote will be held by the chapter to determine if the probate is deemed fit to become a regular member. Once successfully voted in by the chapter, the new member will receive his/herlarge Freedom Warriors patch and other approved front patches.
